Welcome to FPA Westwood Elementary at Parkrose!

Freedom Prep Charter Schools prepare all students in grades Pre-K through 12 to excel in college and in life. With a vision to transform education for students of color across the South, Freedom Prep aims to demonstrate what’s possible, inspire broader change, and carry the torch of the civil rights movement.

Located in the Westwood community, Freedom Prep - Parkrose Campus offers a diverse curriculum with a strong emphasis on the contributions of Black and Latinx authors, historical figures, and pioneers in literature, science, and mathematics.

Students at the Parkrose Campus can engage in a variety of extracurricular activities, including the Ivy League Honors Club, Broadcast Club, youth sports, Theater Club, and project-based learning opportunities. The Eagle Store incentivizes positive behavior, while Freedom Lessons, such as college visits and real-life learning experiences, further prepare students for their future.
