Freedom Preparatory Academy – Brownlee Middle Campus is dedicated to preparing students from Pre-K through 12th grade for success in college and in life. With a vision to transform education for students of color across the South, Freedom Prep strives to prove what’s possible, inspire meaningful change, and continue the legacy of the civil rights movement.
As a Level 5 school and one of the highest-performing schools in the Whitehaven community, Freedom Prep – Brownlee Middle Campus consistently achieves student growth and proficiency scores. Notably, 100% of graduates from the first four classes have been accepted into four-year colleges and universities.
Located in the Whitehaven community, Freedom Prep – Brownlee Middle Campus offers a diverse curriculum with a strong emphasis on the contributions of Black and Latinx authors, historical figures, and pioneers in literature, science, and mathematics.
Students at the Brownlee Middle Campus can participate in a variety of extracurricular activities, including basketball, cheerleading, soccer, and track. The campus also hosts several clubs, such as the Student Government Association (SGA), Game Club, Girls on the Run, and tutoring sessions.
