Freedom Preparatory Academy Birmingham is committed to preparing students for success in college and life. Established in September 2024 in the historic Titusville community of Birmingham, Alabama, Freedom Prep Birmingham provides a safe, nurturing, and academically rigorous environment for students in grades K-5.

As a tuition-free public charter school, Freedom Prep emphasizes core values such as respect, responsibility, integrity, and excellence, while fostering character development and social-emotional growth.

Located at 630 1st Street South, the school site has a rich educational history. For decades, it served as a Catholic high school affiliated with Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception—the oldest Catholic congregation in the Birmingham Diocese. After its closure in 2017, the campus has been revitalized to offer a high-quality K-5 education at Freedom Prep.

In its inaugural year, Freedom Prep Birmingham welcomed kindergarten and first-grade students and looks forward to expanding its impact, ensuring every student receives a strong foundation for future success.
