Family Support

Our students and families are important to us. We care about their educational needs, but also work to provide as many resources to help meet their natural needs.

We have a fully-staffed Social Work department, with a full time social worker per school, which helps students and families cope with every day or other traumatic challenges. Our social workers assess families’ needs and connect our families to resources within and beyond Freedom Prep. The Social Work department also works with Community Outreach to provide programming to enrich the lives of our families. Questions? Reach out to Auna Ingram, [email protected], Program Manager.

Our Community Outreach team is the other first line of support for families outside of the school. The Community Outreach team handles student recruitment, but also works with community partners to identify ways to enhance students’ and families’ overall experience at Freedom Prep. From identifying internship opportunities, to Angel Tree donations, from financial literacy classes, to home ownership and “Know Your Rights” workshops, Social Work and Community Outreach work hand in hand to provide the support that families need. We even have an “Eagles’ Nest” located at our Westwood Campus that provides families with resources from food to clothing to toys and more. (Check with the front office at Westwood for operating hours and times).

In addition to these resources, our Special Populations department works with families to identify special academic needs of our children. Whether students need IEP plans, English as a Second Language (ESL) services, 504 plans, or programming for our gifted students, Special Pops is here to help.
